Description
Equine Empowered Growth and Learning Program (EEGAL) is an organization to Empower the growth and development of diverse communities through equine assisted programming. This program includes boarding, clinics, equine play days, equine therapy, horse camp, lessons, trails and training. The program also includes Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), an emerging field in which horses are used as a tool for emotional growth and learning. The program focused on women suffering from domestic violence and abuse.
The project won the 2002 IES-APA award for “Contribution to Women”.
